A Parents Guide to the Hartselle Area

Hartselle, the second largest city in Morgan County boasts a population of more than 14,000 residents and considers itself the “City of Southern Hospitality”.

  • Sparkman Park– At Sparkman park you will find ballfields, a playground, walking trail, and disc golf course.
  • Pocket Park- Hartselle’s Pocket park is the cutest stop when you’re shopping on Main Street with the littles. It is nestled in the middle of Main Street. There is a playground for the kiddos to burn off some energy and picnic tables for the parents
  • Hartselle Aquatic Center- This family oriented facility is open from Memorial Day to August. Fun for all ages the facility offers a zero depth entry pool, two slides, a climbing wall, diving boards, lazy river, and the most important a full-sized concession stand. The facility is also available to be rented for private or corporate events.
  • SNAP Playground and Splash Pad– The SNAP playground and splash pad was a united effort from local civic groups and businesses. The project is an all-inclusive playground and splashpad for children of all ages and abilities for free. At SNAP you will have access to bathrooms, pavilions, and picnic tables.   • Hidden River Farms– Hidden River Farms is the place to be in the fall. Down on the farm there is plenty to do for the whole family, hike on the nature trails, try to make it through their themed maze, check out the farm animals, pick some pumpkins, and don’t worry dads they also have tailgate tents set up with all the game day essentials you won’t miss one moment of that college football this fall!

  • Jesse Owens Memorial Park

Indoor Play

  • Family Lanes and Amusement– Here they provide many services including a restaurant, bowling, darts, pool tables, trivia nights and more for all the family fun!
  • Keramos Ceramics– A studio in downtown Hartselle that offers studio space, classes, supplies and more! Check them out for your next party!
