The Best Slow Cooker Recipes for Busy Families
Hello, Spring! While doing a little obligatory spring cleaning, I decided to organize some of our most recent favorite crock pot recipes. Like many of you guys, my kids are playing Spring sports so I am using my slow cooker several times a week. Last year’s crock pot recipe post was such a hit with y’all, I figured some of you may want some of our latest faves!
Slow Cooker Creamy Chicken Marsala – I finally took the plunge and tried chicken thighs in the crock pot (which are on sale at Sprouts a lot). I get it now. This recipe is SO GOOD!
Mississippi Crock Pot Roast – This is one of the all time most popular slow cooker recipes on the ‘net!
Brown Sugar & Balsamic Pork Loin – This is one of our all time favorite recipes of any category! Serve it with mashed potatoes to soak up the insanely delicious gravy!
Slow Cooker Pepper Steak – This one is such a family pleaser! Makes the whole house smell amazing too!
Chicken, Veggie & Stuffing Casserole – This recipe is great because it’s SO easy, delicious, & a whole meal in one!
Beach Boy’s Crock Pot Roast Hoagies – Note the super long cook time (10 hours on low!) for when you need to put it in the oven early to be done at dinner time.
Big Marty’s Slow Cooker Apple Butter Pork Chops – This recipe was sent in to me by a reader and has since become one of my most popular crock pot recipes on my blog! We love it paired with yellow rice & roasted veggies!
Crock Pot Spicy Steak & Beans –Â Flank steak, peppers, pinto beans and spices, slow cooked all day and served over rice.
Slow Cooker Sweet Honey Mustard Chicken – We love this chicken served over buttered rice or in a toasted sub with provolone cheese, baby spinach & red onion! (Ok, I’m hungry now!)
Slow Cooker Lasagna – The noodles cook in the crock so all you have to do is pair this one with a salad and dinner is DONE!
Slow Cooker Rotisserie Chicken – I make one of these at least once a week, and it is so versatile.
Slow Cooker Meatball Subs – This one requires a little more prep than I typically do for a crock pot meal, and a lot shorter cook time. I make this one when I am home and have time to prep it around lunch time to be ready in time for dinner. This is one of my family’s all time favorite meals!
Did you know you can make dessert in the crock pot too? Here are a couple of our favorites!
Slow Cooker Cheesecake – Only 5 ingredients! You will have to try it to believe it!
Triple Chocolate Crock Pot Cake – For my fellow chocoholics!
So what are you waiting for? I think these are the best slow cooker recipes out there that both parents and kids will love. Do you have any you think I should add to my list? Leave us a comment and let us know!
