#GoPlayHsv Challenge Returns to the Rocket City
Have you ever been sitting around wondering how you can get the kids out of the house? Or what can you do as a family that is free? Huntsville Parks & Recreation has 31 ways for you to do that-and that is just in the month of July!
Parks & Recreation Month happens nationally as a celebration of all things that the field has to offer. Here in Huntsville we take the month seriously and have created a ‘Checklist Challenge’ to highlight a different activity, class, playground, event or facility each day. The idea is for you to discover new things that Huntsville has to offer, all the while taking pictures and posting about your adventures!
How #GoPlayHsv Works
It’s easy! On the day you are completing the daily challenge, snap a pic or take a video, post it to social media – tag @HuntsvilleParksandRecreation for Instagram and Facebook or @huntsvillecity for Twitter. Be sure to use the hashtag #GoPlayHsv.Â
To find out more information about Parks & Recreation Month, as well as the full daily checklist go to www.huntsvilleal.gov/GoPlayHsv.
Win Prizes!
Each week the Homewood Suites by Hilton-Village of Providence will pick their favorite post and award a one night stay to the winner. Mountain High Outfitters will also have hidden swag bags and gift cards at random challenges for you to find!
I personally LOVE how recreation can bring people together, whether it is family, friends or strangers! We have activities for all different ages and abilities and I can’t wait to show all of you a glimpse into what you can be participating in all of the time.
