Giving New Moms the Gift of Time and Balance

New parents have to be among the most exhausted people on Earth. How many times have you wished you could clone yourself, grow an extra set of hands, or get more hours in the day?

Stressed out moms everywhere now have some relief they can outsource! New Mom Concierge Service has arrived in the Rocket City, and the brains behind this business sat down with us to tell us more about how it all works.

The Beginning Of a Great Idea

Xanthia Elmore launched her business in January 2015, after deciding that she wanted to rewrite the script for her life, while creating a legacy for her children. After spending many years working her way up the corporate ladder, she remarried and decided to have a second child. Her first being another son, twenty years older, you can imagine how things had changed. She found herself out of her depth with everything that involved preparing and carrying for an infant.

“I remember sobbing after being placed on bed rest for a month, thinking of all the things that needed to be done before the baby arrived; wishing I had my family near to help, but they 430 miles away. It was during this time that New Mom Concierge Service was born. I knew I wanted to help people just like me; those that are short on time, long on things to do and stressed out trying to figure out how to fit: work, life and family duties into just a 24 hour day.”

  • If I had a free hour I would work on the knitting project I haven’t touched since my baby was born 3 months ago.

  • I would get a haircut and pedicure which is much needed after having twins.

  • What I would want to do? Work on the quilts for my twins (goal:done by their first birthday, which is coming at an alarming rate!). What I would probably do? Sleep.

  • An hour long massage to de-stress, relax, and alleviate tired muscles. If I had two hours, I’m just nap after that!!

  • I would probably use it to get a massage. My twins are 6 weeks old and going thru a very fussy stage so I could use a moment to myself.

  • I would vacuum my house! Can’t do it when the baby is awake, and I’m too scared to do it when she’s napping…don’t want to wake her up! Hopefully there would be time left over to take my dogs for a walk.

  • I would forget about the unpacked midwest boxes and go outside and enjoy the southern sunshine in the hammock with my baby.

  • I would take a nap! I cannot remember the last time I slept without being awakened by someone needing my help!

  • An uninterrupted hour? A nap sounds great, but I would say being in the kitchen cooking, I miss that.
