About Lindsey

Lindsey, a native of Madison County, has a passion for serving the North Alabama community. She currently serves on the Board of the National Children’s Advocacy Center and also volunteers with Kids to Love, Downtown Rescue Mission, 305 8th Street, and many other local non-profit organizations. “We are thrilled to be a part of Rocket City Mom, and are looking forward to helping offer resources to families throughout our community,” she says.

Lindsey and her husband, Tommy, are foster parents through Madison County DHR, and to date have five children, two of which have been adopted from foster care.

“Rocket City Mom started as an outlet for one ‘new to Huntsville’ mom to share her parenting journey and it quickly grew to encompass different moms and dads all sharing their journeys together in the hopes of helping make their community stronger,” says Executive Editor Stephenie Walker.

“As we enter year thirteen we will continue to tell the story of the parents and families shaping and improving the communities of Huntsville and North Alabama, with a deep focus on topics from Parenting and Events to Area Family Resources and Seasonal Guides.”
