Halloween Story Time & Trick-or-Treat parade Children of all ages are invited to this Halloween edition of our story time! We’ll have singing & stories with a creepy (but age-appropriate) theme. After story time, we will lead kids through the library to trick-or-treat with library staff & show off their costumes (dress-up not required to participate). Be sure to bring a bag or bucket to collect your candy!
Gothic Gala: Dracula
This year Decatur Public Library features fun & activities inspired by Bram Stoker’s novel Dracula. We will start the day at 10:30am with (an age-appropriate) Story Time, followed by a Trick-or-Treat parade through the library! Kids are encouraged to wear their costumes and bring a bag/bucket to collect candy from library staff. Activities for the family will be available all day in our Youth Services room and throughout the library. All are welcome to this free program.
